Restraint is a feature
Every feature we don't add is a decision we made deliberately. We'd rather do fewer things exceptionally well than many things adequately.
About us
Tranquility Apps is a small independent studio, built and based in Europe. We make software that helps people think more clearly about the things that matter.
Our story
When you relocate to a new country, two things become immediately harder: understanding your money in a new currency and system, and finding people to spend time with. The apps that existed either overwhelmed us with features or simply didn't fit the way life works here in Europe.
So we started building our own. WalletWise came first — a finance app designed around clarity rather than anxiety. Fireside came from the same place: the quiet difficulty of finding your footing somewhere new, and wanting something better than a generic social feed to help with that.
Tranquility Apps is the home for everything we build. Each product starts with a problem we've lived — and we take as long as it needs to get it right.
What we believe
Every feature we don't add is a decision we made deliberately. We'd rather do fewer things exceptionally well than many things adequately.
We don't build for demos or press releases. We build for the quiet moment when someone needs something to just work.
Your data belongs to you. We design our products so that we never need to see it, store it, or profit from it.
We're not chasing growth metrics. We're building software we'd want to use for years — and that means taking the time to get it right.
The team
We're a small group of designers and developers based in Europe, and we build specifically for a European audience. We care about craft, about privacy, and about making software that fits the way people here actually live.
We don't have a PR team, a growth department, or a roadmap driven by investor expectations. What we do have is a shared belief that software can be quieter, more considered, and more genuinely useful — and the patience to build it that way.
Being European isn't incidental to what we do. It shapes how we think about privacy, regulation, and the relationship between a product and the people who use it. GDPR isn't a compliance burden to us — it's a baseline we're glad exists.
